Anyone want my car? (Repost for morning crowd)

So, life has accelerated quickly and somehow I found myself submitting an offer on a very expensive home this morning. As such, I need to liquefy some assets, and make good on the promise I made to my wife to sell the Audi.

I know Oppo isn’t a classified site, so I’ll keep it brief. I just know how hard it is to find a decent example of a manual transmission car that hasn’t been thrashed. Anyone who is interested lemme know. I’m not looking to get rich off of this and there are certainly Oppo discounts as I would love to not have to deal with internet strangers (well, worse internet strangers than hang out on Oppo).

The basics:

2007 Audi A4 Quattro 3.2L, 6 speed manual transmission, dolphin grey metallic, black interior, cold weather package. 96K miles.

The good: runs fantastic, no issues starting in cold weather, transmission shifts great and the clutch feels good. Has an short shifter and an upgraded rear sway bar. The rest of the car is stock. No rips in the interior, overall in good cosmetic shape. Regular maintenance and synthetic oil changes.

The bad: valve cover gaskets need done, there is some hail damage and typical city car dings. The center resonator has been removed and replaced with glasspacks (not my choice, but my doing).

Comes with a set of Blizzaks which are on their 3rd season, and a second set of 18" A6 wheels wrapped in Nitto NT555's for the summer. Both sets of wheels have curb rash.

Just wanted to give you guys the heads up before I throw it on CL. It really has been a great car, but my wife hates driving a manual in the city and she drives for work. I send some pics and more info if there’s real interest.

GLWS, I just downsized (last June) from 4 cars to 3, getting rid of my daily-driver manual E46 but keeping my old truck and switching to the DadWagon Volvo for my winter daily. I really miss the E46 right now, but it’s been nice to have one less mouth to feed, so to speak. And what do you know, we’re buying some land (closing next week)!

Price is $5k, which I think is reasonable given what they’re selling for and it’s under KBB which always should be taken with a grain of salt. I know I’ll have a hard time selling a manual in the general market  

Location is Chicago, but I’m always down for a road trip if someone is serious.

Congrats on the land! I’m super jealous, I wish that was the type of real estate we were buying. I’ll do a post once the buyer accepts our counter offer (or a sad post about how the didn’t.)

This is a stressful part, between offers / counters / etc. Good luck!

This one was pretty easy for us because we knew the land well, it shares a 987' boundary with our current land. We had friends who looked at a nice parcel nearby but backed out after discovering there was basically no deed; it had been in the family for so long, and pieces had been carved out of it numerous times; no one had ever updated the deed for what remained. That wasn’t the only issue, but anyway. We were lucky here in a few ways, I’ll post more about it after closing.

Oh and as far as maintenance goes, the suspension and clutch are original so they will need to be done at some point. The clutch shows no signs of thinning out or slipping. The suspension isn’t bouncy or noticeably worn, but I’m sure that will need to be addressed fairly soon. Despite living in the city, most of the miles have been on highway driving home to Ohio so not too much pothole action.
